Privacy Policy

Article 1 (Privacy Information)

"Personal Information" within privacy information refers to "personal information" as defined in the Personal Information Protection Act, meaning information about a living individual that can identify a specific person through names, dates of birth, addresses, telephone numbers, contact details, or other descriptions contained in the information.


Article 2 (Methods of Collecting Privacy Information)

The Japan Vaganova Ballet Association (hereinafter referred to as "the Association") may ask for personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, driver's license number, passport number, etc., when users register for use.


Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)

The purposes for which the Association collects and uses personal information are as follows:

  • To allow users to view and modify their registered information and view their usage status by displaying registered information such as name, address, contact details, payment methods, services used, and related charges.
  • To use email addresses for sending notices or communications to users, or to use contact information such as name and address for sending documents or contacting users as necessary.
  • To verify the user's identity by using information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, bank account number, driver's license number, passport number, or delivery confirmation of registered mail.
  • To charge users for services by using information such as the type, duration, and frequency of services used, billing amounts, name, address, bank account number, credit card number, and other payment-related information.
  • To facilitate data entry for users by displaying information registered with the Association on input screens or transferring it to other services (including those provided by partners) based on user instructions.
  • To refuse service to users who violate the terms of service, such as delaying payment or causing harm to third parties, or who attempt to use the service for fraudulent or improper purposes, by using usage patterns and personally identifying information such as name and address.
  • To respond to user inquiries by using information such as inquiry content, billing-related information, information necessary for the Association to provide services to users, user service usage status, and contact information.
  • Purposes incidental to the above purposes of use.

Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

The Association will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the user's prior consent, except in the following cases. However, this excludes cases permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations.

  • When required by law.
  • When necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and obtaining the individual's consent is difficult.
  • When the following matters have been announced or disclosed in advance:
  • That the purpose of use includes provision to third parties.
  • The data items to be provided to third parties.
  • The means or method of provision to third parties.
  • That provision of personal information to third parties will be stopped upon the individual's request.
  • Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the following shall not be considered third parties:
  • When the Association outsources the handling of personal information, in whole or in part, within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use.
  • When personal information is provided due to business succession resulting from a merger or other reasons.
  • When personal information is jointly used with a specific party, and the individual has been informed in advance or is in a state where they can easily learn about: the fact of joint use, the items of personal information jointly used, the scope of joint users, the purpose of use by the users, and the name of the person responsible for managing said personal information.

Article 5 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

If a user's personal information held by the Association is incorrect, the user may request correction or deletion of the personal information from the Association by following the procedures established by the Association.

If the Association determines it necessary to comply with a request from a user as per the preceding paragraph, it will promptly correct or delete the personal information and notify the user.


Article 6 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)

If the Association is requested by the individual to suspend or erase the use of personal information (hereinafter referred to as "suspension of use, etc.") on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or was obtained by improper means, it will promptly conduct the necessary investigation. Based on the results, the Association will suspend the use, etc., of the personal information and notify the individual. However, if suspension of use, etc., involves significant cost or is otherwise difficult, and alternative measures can be taken to protect the individual's rights and interests, such alternative measures will be implemented.


Article 7 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

The contents of this policy may be changed without prior notice to users.

Unless otherwise specified by the Association, the revised privacy policy shall take effect upon its publication on this website.
