About JVBA
The Japan Vaganova Ballet Association (JVBA) is the official partner of the Vaganova Ballet Academy in Japan. Our association began its activities in 2018 with the aim of disseminating the Russian ballet education style throughout the Asian region.

Our mission is the preservation and development of classical ballet, the support of young talent, and the promotion of cultural exchange. Since our establishment, we have held annual masterclasses, concerts, and internships for students and teachers, providing valuable opportunities for professional growth.
As an integral part of our activities, we are also actively engaged in volunteer projects, including the translation of Russian ballet literature, the adaptation of ballet films for Japanese audiences, and the restoration of classical heritage, including forgotten works by Marius Petipa.

One of our primary goals is to spread knowledge about the teaching methodology of Agrippina Vaganova, which is recognized as the global standard for classical ballet education. Through JVBA's programs, numerous students have gained admission to the Russian Vaganova Ballet Academy, receiving world-class training essential for success as ballet professionals.

Starting in 2024, we are opening our doors to Asian countries, inviting participants from neighboring nations and offering opportunities for program participation and collaboration. We take pride in contributing to the popularization of ballet, organizing gala performances, reviving forgotten masterpieces, and serving as a bridge between tradition and contemporary art.

JVBA is a platform dedicated to nurturing talent, unlocking potential, and bringing the world of ballet to new generations.
Our Projects

Numerous teachers and students have already participated in various events organized by JVBA, where they studied the world's finest Russian teaching methodology and deepened their extensive knowledge.

Upon successful completion, teachers receive certificates and immediately apply the acquired knowledge in their studios. Students leverage the experience gained from these events to expand their opportunities, whether through ballet studies abroad or performances on stage.
